To be completely honest, I am not much of a fan of the “band based” games that are on the market. I never really got into them much as they did not seem to catch my fancy. Bring on the orcs...haha. I had played previous version of this game as my friends always insisted “You can't say you don't like it if you don't try it”. Valid point so I would occasionally play if not only to give them breaks to rest.

When I got the Guitar Hero Metallica to review, I gave a big failed yeeaaahhhh!

Again, another Activision title has done it for me. Previously I had the chance to play Prototype and it changed my view on the style of game. I should have known that Activision would come out with more games that to me will become classics. They did create many classic games and are starting to create some new ones as well. Now everyone makes mistakes and very few admit to them but when I make a mistake or jump to a conclusion, I am always one to admit it. Guitar Hero Metallica changed my view on this style or genre of game. I have seen some of the other previous Guitar Hero games and was never captivated by the songs to go out and get the game. Do not get me wrong, there were some good songs for my taste on most of the games but for every song I liked, I found 2 more I did not.

Now this could have been my personal preference and I am glad it turned out to be so. Guitar Hero Metallica brings a great and lengthy set of songs to the Guitar Hero franchise. Most of the classic Metallica songs that I remember from my “youth” can be found in this great package. Also I was surprised to see songs from many other artists, as with a title of Guitar Hero Metallica, I made the mistake of thinking that it would be all Metallica songs. Well lets take a look at the game shall we.
