Racing, as much as it is not my life in the real world, it is my life when it comes to video games; it is my absolute favorite gaming genre.

Codemasters just happens to be my favorite publisher when it comes to racing games. The Colin McRae series is absolutely outstanding; Dirt, Grid, the TOCA series, and even the classic 1NSANE (more commonly known as Insane) have turned me into a racing junkie.

Although, I do have to give credit to EA; the original Need for Speed was in fact the very first racing game that I've ever played. And over the years, while another publisher might release a racing title from time to time, for the most part, the racing genre is divided between Codemasters and EA with EA favoring the arcade-style aspect and Codemasters usually taking the route of realism.

And now, Codemasters has released the largest racing video game of all time (over 5000 square miles). The game is called Fuel. I try to get most of my racing games for the PC so I can put my MOMO Force Feedback wheel to good use, but for some reason I was not able to find fuel for the PC for the life of me, and I just got tired of waiting so I went to the local Blockbuster and rented Fuel for the Xbox 360. I guess it might actually be a really smart move on my part; if the game sucks, I'm going to cancel my preorder from Newegg.com for the PC version before I waste my money on a crappy game. More racing, less typing, that's my motto, so, I'll see you after a few hundred miles.
