I've seen one of the Monkey Ball games (apparently there are more than one), and I got to say that for how unimpressive the game was, I was actually impressed.
I wasn't impressed with the graphics; I wasn't impressed with the sound either but I was impressed with the gameplay and addictiveness of the game. And I wasn't the only one; everyone around seemed to have a good time watching one of the simplest games ever.
And then I've heard about Fading Shadows. No, it's not Monkey Ball, but apparently you do get to guide an orb around and solve puzzles and move from one level to another. If Fading Shadows is what I think it might be, it will be good. If the game is not what I think it might be, then it will be bad. If you think my introduction is confusing to read, you should have seen the time I had writing it. And the true, honest reason for my confusion is because in all reality I have no clue what Fading Shadows is actually about. It is a puzzle game; that's for sure. Another interesting fact is that Game Stop claims that Fading Shadows is exclusively released to their stores only. I've had a hard time finding this game anywhere, and with luck, just before ordering it online, a copy did turn up at a remote Game Stop location. Now that I actually got the game, it's time to play it and find out what the game is about; and in doing so, maybe I can redeem myself for my confusing introduction.
