If we were to go back in the past and try to tell medieval people about the airplane they would most certainly call us crazy. On the same note, if twenty years ago someone would have told me of all the new style video games that would eventually be released, I would have also called them crazy. But I guess we do live in a crazy world after all.

Just like the airplane is embedded in our culture and history, video games are also starting to make their mark. But recently video games have taken a road that even I as a gamer and as a review I would have never guessed; video games revolving around music are some of the "hottest" items that sell in today's market. Games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero have already made the statement that "we're here to stay and to entertain" but there are other music-driven games that are reaching for and trying to grab a piece of the pie.

While Rock Band and Guitar Hero have dominated the music genre when it comes to the Xbox 360 and the PS3, but now we see a developing war over other entertainment systems. Band Manager tried and failed to make a music impact on the PC and now, it seems that the next big music title is aimed at the PSP (Play Station Portable). Recently, I reviewed a break-dancing game (B-Boy) and although I was not thoroughly impressed, it did have some potential. That's why I decided to check out DJ Max Fever, the latest game from PM Studios. I don't know anything about the game except what I can gather from the title. I'm assuming that I get work the turn tables and put on some killer tunes for the crowd to jam to. In the words of Beck, "I got two turn tables and a microphone." Well, lets find out if I even get one turn table in DJ Max Fever. As for the microphone, even if the PSP could support one I would certainly not sing in it.
