Wolfenstein, the very name brings back memories of another era of PC gaming, actually the very beginning of the age of the PC. Germans and then more Germans, you kill them and more replace them, but what was the real appeal of the original Wolfenstein? It was the first really cool 1st person shooter of all time and it left memories that never faded, just mellowed a bit as time has passed. I used to bug my cousin who was a computer programmer back when Basic, and Cobalt ruled the day, why were there no games that had it look like you were walking around instead of just side scrolling? So when Wolfenstein hit the shelves at my local PC store, I was on it and playing it like a madman until the wee hours of the morning. Yes I was addicted.

That was so many games ago and honestly, 1st person shooters have gotten rather repetitive in their format that I rarely buy them anymore. Yet here it is years and years later and Wolfenstein has reared its evil head again, this time with the latest eye grabbing graphics and new weapons along with yes, you guessed it the wily Germans. I was so stoked to get this game and want to thank Neil Wood for all his support. In a time when Quentin Terintino has just released his new movie, Inglorious Bastards, which is all about killing Germans as well, this seems like a more than coincidental release date for Wolfenstein. For those people who loved and remember the original title, this game will probably make you nostalgic and let you enjoy the game even more, especially with all its new environments and game objectives. I am really looking forward to playing this game and seeing how it stacks up against the original game. Well is been years since I even thought of Wolfenstein, the kid in me waits to begin. Les hope id, now partnered up with Raven, has done it again for us old and new school gamers alike.
