I'll be honest with you; I'm not the biggest fan of puzzles, even video game puzzles.

It's not that I hate the genre and it's not that I hate thinking and solving out problems on my own. What I hate about puzzle games is myself. Well, to be more precise, it is not me; it is my lack of patience that gets to me when it comes to puzzles.

But video games are not just a hobby for me; they are also my job and I wouldn't be doing a good job if I avoided certain genres. That's why I feel obligated to write a review about 2-D Boy's World of Goo. I didn't initially get World of Goo for a review purpose. My girlfriend was visiting me here in Florida and she had to grab a few necessities therefore we took a quick trip to Target.

While she was taking care of her shopping needs, I spaced out in the electronics section of the store. I checked out the movies, the console games and eventually, I got to the PC section. There is where I stumbled across World of Goo. It was actually the cheapest game that was not part of the value section and with a name like "World of Goo" I could not help myself. I picked up the box and started reading. At first I didn't know what to think. My imagination started working on overdrive. I started imagining the game as some weird version of Lego or Pipemania. I didn't know what to think of it. "Drag and drop living, squirming, talking, globs of goo to build structures, bridges, cannonballs, zeppelins, and giant tongues." I didn't really know what to make of all that, but for $14.99, I figured I could take a chance and actually pursue my gaming hobby without actually working. Well, after spending a few good hours in front of the game, I decided to turn this particular game into work. If you love building stuff and especially if you love physics, you may want to read this review because World of Goo might be that one video game that you've been waiting on for a long, long time.
