The first mouse was made by Doug Engelbart in 1964. The first mouse used two gear wheels perpendicular to each other thus using an X and Y axis to move. The first mechanical or ball mouse was made by Bill English in 1972. But the modern mouse was introduced in 1980. Hard to imaging that the first optical mouse is almost 30 years old now, wow!



Logitech is a manufacturer of computer accessories including mice, trackball mice, keyboards, speakers and other computer accessories. Their first laser mouse was the MX700 that was extremely popular with the gamers. Later they released the MX1000 and the G5 and G7 mice. One of the big pushes for mice has been the cordless mice. Logitech released the MX Revolution mouse a few months ago and today that is the mouse on the review slate. It has features for Vista that other mice have yet to catch up with, but is that really a good thing?
