Gigabyte has made quite the name for themselves in the Video card and motherboard arena, and have ventured into a few other areas as well including the human interface device market and that is where our focus has been in our last few Gigabyte reviews. Our latest addition to the staff Jeremy took a look at their very affordable keyboard over on motherboards.org and it is a great keyboard, especially for the under $20.00 price tag that it sells for. Well in addition to their keyboards comes Gigabyte’s next venture, the GM-M8000 Laser Gaming Mouse, and so far just by reading the features it looks to be a very cool product for the gamer.

What makes a mouse a gaming mouse? This is a question many people ask when wanting o purchase a mouse, one that is geared toward making their gaming environment more accurate and not just one to scroll through the internet with. That means high resolution in the way it reads and ergonomic and programmable buttons that are recognized in your games. Being a Laser mouse the GM M8000 can read surfaces with a very accurate response rate and this comes to ask when aiming at your opponents in FPS games or controlling where your character moves to in general, and he higher the resolution the better the precision. The M8000 has an incredible resolution of 4000 DPI (Dots Per Inch) ratio, which is absolutely off the hook and should offer exceptional control and accuracy. Let’s see how it does in real world events and if it’s worth the $49.00 price tag.
