Many people are familiar with a company known as AMD. AMD is based out of Austin, Texas. They are known for bringing us great quality computer parts for the price, even if they don't have the fastest processors out there all the time.

They have recently given us here at Gamepyre a chance to check out the new 5000+ Black Edition processor, and really put it through some tests. Priced at about $130 on online sellers, the price on this processor is just right.

We're going to take a look at this processor not only at its factory setting, but we're going to take advantage of that unlocked multiplier as well. Overclocking has been made easier and more accessible for all of us. I know I'm looking forward to this, as I've been an AMD supporter since the K6-2 series of processors. Enough talk, its time to really dig into this chip now and let you know just what it's capable of.
