USB Hard drives, both big and small are really nothing new to the market place these days. All across the globe, you can easily find yourself thumb drives, miniature hard drives (such as the one being reviewed today), all the way up to laptop and full sized drives in enclosures. The choice, then, comes down to the fact of – how much storage do you need, and how much of a bundle are you willing to carry around? After all, you could carry a half gigabyte of storage easily on a stick and plug it in to a USB port and be laughing, but you’d have nowhere close to the capacity of the guy sitting next to you that has to plug his 750GB drive’s caddy into a power brick to spin it up. The drive in question is one that’s really at “the middle of the road”. With a 4GB capacity, it’s just large enough to handle the daily driving, but with the use of a single USB port, it’s also convenient. The question then is, how fast is this little micro-drive based portable, and how durable is it. Well, there’s a perfectly good review in but a page ready to answer those questions for you! |
