Whenever a new technology such as DDR3 comes along, we update our testing to show performance with the latest and greatest CPU. After all, while the X38 chipset supports the earlier 6870 CPUs, it is meant for the hardcore enthusiast. While the tests remain the same as on the new P35 platform, the CPU being used is the new Intel QX9770 running at 3.2GHz. This brings the current top of the line Yorkfield CPU to our test platform.
