Our test platform has gone through an evolution which is a good thing as we move into 2008. Tests like CPUBench and SuperPi are designed to test the CPU more than the video card. We've also moved to Windows Vista for our testing, bringing our test software up-to-date. The move to the 8800GTS 320MB is a no-brainer as the video card offers excellent performance and supports the latest DirectX 10 features which games like Crysis require. The boards we've tested include an ASUS Blitz Formula and Xtreme Edition, an Evga nForce 680i SLI, an ASUS P5K3 Deluxe and this board scored near the top in almost every benchmark, making the performance with a default setup excellent.
