The bundle is important as it determines what you get "out of the box" without additional
purchase. As an enthusiast motherboard with a premium price tag, the Gigabyte board comes Two 2
-port USB brackets are included bringing the total in the bundle to 8. The inclusion of 8 SATA
cables and the two brackets for external SATA with four additional SATA cables means that the user
won't need to purchase them separately, as many boards require. Rounding out the drive cables are
a IDE cable and a FDD cable.
Manuals are generally useful; if you need to know a specific answer to Frequently Asked Questions
and indicate to the new user what they're getting, what features the board has and a overview of
the various BIOS settings on the board. This manual also includes instructions on how to remove
that heatsink on the rear of the board, allowing after-market cooling solutions to be used with
their specialized backplates.
Gigabyte includes a well laid out poster going over how to install computer hardware with this
board. For the Novice, this is a godsend. For the professional this is not necessary. The driver
CD contains the drivers to get started with, a DVD Player and Norton's Internet Security OEM,
which provides anti-virus software and a software Firewall. One issue I have with any Driver CD
for motherboards is the inclusion of total junk software. In this case, Gigabyte includes Yahoo
Toolbar, which is cool if you use Yahoo, but totally useless to anyone with half a clue as to
computers.
