The new 875P chipset ASUS P4C800 Deluxe motherboard.
Teaser: The 533MHz to 800MHz Bus shift with Dual channel DDR400 technology. The new chipset with native Serial ATA support. A top motherboard product which can utilize 6 IDE and 4 Serial ATA devices. Sounds awesome!

The 875P (Canterwood) chipset hit the market a while ago. All motherboard manufacturers did their best with this chipset to please the enthusiast market, which includes hardcore gamers (like you) or workstation users who are trying to squeeze even more out of their powerful systems.

Along with the new chipset, first 800 MHz Bus Pentium 4 CPU’s made their entrance to the market starting with Pentium 4 2.4 GHz CPU’s (2.4C) to 3.0 GHz CPU’s. The high price tag on the 875P motherboards along with the shift to DDR400 memory and 800 MHz Bus CPU makes this a little bit expensive enthusiasm. Does it really worth it?

When I received this fine specimen of a motherboard, these thoughts were in my mind. So I planned to test the system with Pentium 4 2.8 GHz CPU’s with 533MHz and 800MHz buses after reviewing the motherboard and the new chipset. So let’s have a look at the Chipset
