The EHD3-100 Dual Hybrid TV Card is unique in some aspects of tuner cards as most are standard PCI cards while the EHD3-100 Dual Hybrid TV Card takes advantage of the PCI-E port for a faster data transmission and allowing for overall better performance with the card and system interaction. The card uses the MPEG2 encoder which is built in to the card itself. This allows for slightly faster encoding of captured video then a standard USB tuner.
The EHD3-100 Dual Hybrid TV Card allows for both analog and digital cable input. This allows for cable customers in older cable systems to still use the device with an analog signal. Of course the analog signal will not be as high quality of picture as the digital picture, but that should be expected with an analog cable signal. The card offers hardware noise reduction to allow for better video quality. Of course you are still going to be limited by the quality of the signal being sent or recorded.
The EHD3-100 Dual Hybrid TV Card also offers the ability to record and listen to a FM radio broadcast thru a standard RG6 connector. It allows for storage of multiple channels as well as favorite channels. The EHD3-100 Dual Hybrid TV Card has the ability to be used with home security systems as well. It allows the consumer to monitor and record their existing home security cameras for better more convenient security options.
The tuner will also allow for the recording of two different channels at the same time on your PC. Or you can even watch one program and record another. This is also helped by the dual AV inputs which allows for multiple captures from external devices. Add together the support for the newest Operating systems and this card can go a long way in your video tuner and capture needs.
