Hooking up the D-Link Xtreme N Gigabit Router is a very easy task. The first step is taking the contents out of the box.
The second step requires the hooking up of the external antennas. Technically, you could always hook up the antennas at a later time, but in my case, I have the router set up in the far end corner of my desk so it was easier for me to hook up the antennas before doing anything else.
Next, you have to plug in the necessary cables and eventually hook up the power adapter. If you are not very familiar with working on computers, this might provide the perfect opportunity to learn something new. Following the on-screen directions works really well but I have a strong feeling that most of us are not even going to need the directions. Overall, setting up the hardware for this router should not take you more then five minutes at best.
