I remember the days when video games did not include warnings about photosensitive seizures and other important safety and health information.

Warnings... Well what do they know? They're only scientists. Well, in my ignorance I believed that only the untrained and the weak got seizures and headaches related to video games and the size of a TV or monitor. As I found out for myself, I was wrong.

My 28" monitor was great when it came to sitting back on the couch and watching a movie but as it turns out, when I was sitting much closer to it for either my typing or for PC games, my eyes would eventually get dry and tired and sometimes I would get headaches. At first I blamed long work hours and bad luck. I mean, everyone gets headaches sometimes.

Movies, games and even 2-D applications perform and look superbly on this monitor. I did not notice any glitches, flickers or distorted images. But besides the image looking sharp and great I did notice another difference with the S2409W Dell monitor. Personally, I associate this difference with the size difference, but I did notice that my eyes are not as tired and as dry at the end of the day, and maybe it is just a coincidence, but since I got this monitor I do not remember having a single headache (I've only had it for 2 weeks though). So far I'm very satisfied with this monitor. Now I can't promise you that in 2 or 3 years the image and the monitor will function just as well as today, but as all electronic things go, eventually they will break. Getting an extended warranty on any electronic product would not hurt. In all reality, the reason this monitor will score a B+ instead of an A is the lack of a 2nd HDMI port and the lack of any USB outlets. Besides that, this is a great monitor especially for its cost (roughly 300 dollars).

Score: B+
