At the moment this card is ahead of the games that are on the market and frankly just rips through everything like a hot knife through butter. Even Crysis, the game that a mere six months ago was bringing even the best VGA card to its knees cannot put a damper on the GTX280. Even at resolutions of 1920X1200 Widescreen that most desktop monitors in the 24’’ and higher category support the GTX280 pumps out the pixels and framerates with no discernable lack of quality or visual artifacts.

I am also on a side note very impressed with how well the 2D, an often ignored aspect of the card really shows vast improvement in Vista, where the NVIDIA card for once looks better than ATI’s. I write reviews and stare at a screen all day every day so this is an important aspect for me. All the 9 series and new GTX series of cards have clear and great text in Vista and this is a serious plus from where I sit. There is no game this card cannot play even at ultra high resolutions you get solid framerates and quality visual reproduction, so in the gaming ring the GTX280 is the new crowned King.

Games look better with all the AA/AF settings set to their maximum as this reproduces the best graphics you can get, above are a few shots of the different AA/AF levels in a real gaming environment.
