For those wanting to play CRYSIS with 1920x1200 and 4x AA 16XAF, the GTX280 falls just short of being completely playable at those settings. The card was able to average 25 fps which is playable in heavy firefights but feels a bit sluggish. 1680X1050 is completely playable with 4x AA 16x AF, a remarkable achievement from a single chip card. I was not disappointed at all to play the game at 1680x1050 with settings maxed.

Assassin’s Creed plays extremely well on the GTX280. The game is a DirectX 10.0 game released by Ubisoft which utilizes many advanced Shader effects on the PC version. There originally was a DirectX 10.1 path included with the game but the developers decided to take that out with the first patch. The GTX280 plays the game like a 9800GX2 with the same settings.

GRID is the latest racing game from Ubisoft. Ubisoft is the maker of such game classics as Rayman, and the Tom Clancy series of Rainbow Six games. GRID is a totally beautiful racing game one of the best looking games out there on any system. The game requires a good video card to play it well and the GTX 280 plays wonderfully with full resolutions and settings totally available to the player without compromise to framerates.
