Many people like the two slot design of the GTS cards due to the larger fan and better air flow over the cards capacitors, this is a good thing but as stated the card occupies two slots in able to accommodate this and that can get air flow restrictive in an SLI system where the cards almost touch. The cards do run about six degrees cooler though than their 8800GT single slot brethren so that should help keep things a bit cooler in an SLI situation.

The card has the face of the dog growling at you keenly and at least varies from the NVIDIA default sticker. The card requires only a single power connection unlike its GTX and Ultra big brothers and this makes the card more flexible to integrate into more systems that have older PSUs. This also means less taxation on your power source as well. I like the way the plastic housing covers the entire length of the card as this protects the card from unwarranted accidents and dust.

All of the new breed of cards support dual link DVI and you can use either one large super high res monitor or two normal monitors at the same time via the cards dual DVI ports. The SLI connection allows the use of various SLI bridges and does not have any obstacles making plug-ins difficult. This card most assuredly has a look that is all its own due to the variation in graphics, but beyond that its based off the NVIDIA reference design scheme and will share the same body shape and style as most of the other 8800GTS 512MB Edition cards that you will see released this year.
