There are many 8800GT cards out there on the market, but none quite as fast as the Alpha Dog, even though clocked lower than the EVGA SSC it still
excels in performance and ran very stable. Games play awesome on the 8800GT and with scores that are very favorable in the tests this cards becomes
even more of an attractive purchase. The only drawback to this card is availability as everyone currently is out of stock on this series of card and
that makes for Ebay price-hikers to have an excellent field for extorting high prices out of the 8800GT. Company of Heroes is an excellent title for
the RTS genre and I was amazed at how well this game played and how fun it was, this is a cool game to bundle and hours of gameplay can be exacted
out of it.
What is there not to like about the XFX XXX Alpha Dog 8800GT? Absolutely nothing a great big old zero as this card rocks in every way. The 8800 Ultra
is priced at almost twice that of the GT, and the GT is almost as fast and even faster in some instances than the Ultra. NVIDIA has done something
which most companies would avoid like the plague, that is make a cheaper and faster product than their highest priced card, that essentially put the
Ultra on the road to EOL (End Of Life). The XFX XXX Alpha Dog Edition is one of the fastest 8800GT cards you can get out of a retail box; it's priced
well below the 8800 Ultra and offers a performance ratio that outweighs its current price by a wide margin. At the moment the 8800GT series is
plainly kicking ass performance wise over the competition, and the XXX Alpha Dog by XFX is an even better example of this series and clearly deserves
the Gamers Choice Gold Award! Good job XFX the dog is back and better than ever!
