Personally speaking, I actually prefer the hardware installation part over the software installation part in a computer upgrade process. Hardware installation is much simpler: it
either works or it doesn't.
After declaring the hardware installation a total success, I expected no resistance in the software department but I was wrong. After installing the video drivers from the CD that
came with the video card and rebooting my system just as I was supposed to do, the new drivers messed up on installation.
It seems that drivers get updated quiet frequently, so without hesitation or delay I double-clicked the most recent drivers that I've downloaded from the NVIDA website beforehand.
The new drivers worked like a charm, so in less then 15 minutes (including hardware + software installation) I was done setting up the ASUS EN8600GTS video card.
Note: I can't emphasize just how important it is to have the most recent drivers for your computer. Having up-to-date drivers can drastically alter the overall performance of your
computer. Also, having the latest program patches is a must as well.
