The ASUS EN7950GT/HTDP/512M/A video card is an excellent example of the 7950GT series retailing for a MSRP of $299 (Newegg price 10/17/2006), matching the price of the other 7950GT cards. At this price point it’s a decent purchase you get all of the features of the 7900 series, the performance of a 7950GT, and you get Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.



The next generation of NVIDIA video cards is going to be launched in November at GeForceLAN 3, the third annual LAN party launch event (with the first being for the 6800, the second for the 7800 series and the third well, I suppose it logically follows the 8800 series). Microsoft will release Windows Vista early next year with Direct3D 10. The EN7950GT supports Vista, but not SM4.0, the next major inflection point.
