Oblivion is one of the most beautiful PC games in existence today. Pixel Shaders are used throughout the game. HDR is also featured throughout. The 7950 GX2 is incapable of running this game with HDR and MSAA enabled at the same time. To me, it’s an easy choice, as I prefer HDR with no AA than AA with no HDR. The 7950 GX2 runs this game extremely well, with 2048x1536 fully playable with max settings and HDR enabled.
As an old school gamer, my first PC game was Prince of Persia on the PC a long time ago. New versions of Prince of Persia have entered into the gaming public eye ever since. Warrior Within, POP’s 2004 game is one I’ve just started getting into. The 7950 GX2 plays the game like a charm, with Pixel and Vertex Shader programs throughout; the game looks good although a little dated today. Hitman: Contracts was one of those wonderful games that really didn’t have a lot of hype. A FPS (First Person Shooter), Hitman: Contracts was a lot of fun. Hitman: Blood Money is the sequel to Hitman Contracts and was recently released on the PC. The game plays extremely well on the 7950, with all AA and AF turned on, the game ran at its maximum resolution.
