The first game I tried out on the 7600GS was First Encounter Assault Recon or F.E.A.R.. F.E.A.R. is one of the most graphically intensive games available today. The game played ok up to 1024x768 on the EVGA 7600GS. When you consider the 7600GS has a MSRP of $149.99, this is good performance. The 7600GS played the game with all of the shaders visually intact, meaning you enjoy the same experience as on a 7900GTX just at a lower resolution and setting.

Empire at War is a game that Ian and Doc find boring. Personally, I find the game to be a lot of fun that any RTS fan will love. The game plays well on the 7600GS, with every option on. Graphically the game could be better, but the game play, the story line and the look is all Star Wars. The 7600GS is the perfect card to play this game.

The third game I’ve been playing recently is Act of War High Treason demo. The expansion pack to the best-selling RTS game of 2004, High Treason brings to the genre a lot of new units and missions including naval warfare to the Act of War franchise. The demo played well on the 7600GS, with 1280x1024 no AA and no AF playable. If you haven’t picked up the demo I would suggest it as it’s a lot of fun and enjoyable.
