XFX
is a manufacturer of video cards and other computer components including gamepads,
hard drive controllers, gaming headsets and more. Their video cards use NVIDIA
chipsets exclusively, making them one of the last companies to sell cards from
one manufacturer. I use a 7800GTX in my main computer from XFX, and have reviewed
several of their products.
NVIDIA launched the 7800GTX on June 22nd of this year. It is hard to imagine
it has been over 3 months since the 7800GTX launch, but time flies. The MSRP
of the 7800GTX was $599, which is a bit insane for a video card in my opinion.
The 7800GTX has been widely available and can be found for a price under $499
online today. In August, NVIDIA launched the 7800GT chip. It retails for $449,
but you can find it online for $399 or less. Today, I’m reviewing the
XFX 7800GT card and SLI.
