The card came bundled in a long black box. The front of the box had the GTS logo with a graphic of a spark through it. The top left hand corner of the box had the PhysX logo on it. There is a small box on the bottom right hand corner of the box with the 3DMark Vantage logo on it. The 5-Star Support logo is under the GTS logo. The rear of the box contains a list of the key features of the GeForce GTS 250 Core Edition card.
Upon opening the box, there is an inner black box. Inside that box are two trays, one for the manuals , bundle and accessories and the other to hold the GeForce GTS 250 Core Edition card itself. The manuals and Driver CD are in a CD case. The XFX Do Not Disturb door hanger contains the serial number of the card. The hardware portion of the bundle consists of a DVI-I to D-sub adapter, a HDTV Component out and a 6-pin Power to Molex connector.
The driver CD contains NVIDIA's 182.06 drivers. This is the same driver set as NVIDIA launched the card with. I would always suggest upgrading to the latest drivers off NVIDIA's web site as they have released 182.50 Forceware drivers that offer higher performance in a number of applications including support for the latest PhysX software and OpenGL 3.0. NVIDIA drivers are updated monthly with new WHQL drivers.
XFX offers a 5-Star Support policy with their graphics cards. Once you register your new video card they offer Support Central which will take you to the drivers and files that pertain to your own product. The second tier of their support is support files for the specific serial number of the card. The third part of their support tier is message boards. Live help provides real help for problems. The last part of the support system is the ticket system. XFX offers a second group of five support features including driver downloads optimized for the graphics card, help guides, a door hanger with the serial number on it, multi-lingual support, and RMA handling. XFX offers a Double Lifetime Warranty on their GeForce GTS 250 card which means that they will warrant the card from material defects for the lifetime of the card and the warranty transfers to a second owner of the card should you sell it.
