ASUS uses the reference design on their ENGTX260/HTDP/896M/A card for the most part. The card has the same 2-slot cooler as that found on the GTX280 which cools the chip sufficiently. The fan on the rear of the front of the card is a 47-fin fan. The front of the card has a picture of the woman on the front of the ASUS box. The front has a camouflage pattern, making it look cool.
The rear of the card has the grill that the GTX280 has. The top of the card has two 6-pin power connectors to provide the card with extra power beyond what is provided by the PCI Express x16 slot. The rear of the card has another grill. Note that the card is 10.5 inches long, so if you have a case that is short on the distance between the PCI slot and the HDD cage it might be a tight fit.
The top of the card is also where the SLI bridges are located. Note that the card comes with a cover for the bridges for when SLI is not in use. The front of the card has the standard IO that we have come to know and love with two Dual-Link DVI outputs, and a HDTV output. If you install adapters you can use the card with HDMI or VGA connections, giving a wide choice as to what monitor you can use with the card.
