The XFX card is in most respects identical to the reference GeForce GTX 280 card. The card is a 2-slot card, meaning that you will have to have two free adjacent slots to install it. All GeForce GTX 280 cards are pretty long, measuring over 9 inches long. The front of the card has the GTX logo, the XFX Play Hard logo and a radial fan with 53 fins to cool the graphics chip.

There is a vent on the rear of the card, allowing the fan to push air through both the front and rear of the card. Two SLI Bridges adorn the top of the card, meaning that the GTX 280 can do 3-way SLI if you have the dough for them. The GeForce GTX 280 card requires 236W of power to run effectively and there is an 8-pin power connector and 6-pin power connector for the graphics card.

The rear IO on the card is consistent with other GeForce GTX 280 cards. The card has two Dual-Link DVI ports allowing it to connect to two Digital LCD monitors with up to 2560x1600 resolution supported on each monitor. There is also a TV-Out port to connect the video card to the HDTV. Dual monitors are supported by the GeForce GTX 280 through the two DVI ports up to two DVI monitors, two CRT monitors with adapters or one of each is supported by this card.
