In many ways the GeForce 9800GTX+ card is a slightly modified 9800GTX card as they look identical at first glance. The card uses the same cooler as the Black Edition from XFX but has a blue heatsink instead of the black color that card had. XFX’s card has the wheel that’s on their box cover as well as the GeForce 9800GTX+ logo.

The 9800GTX+ has two 6-pin power connectors on the top of the card. This is the same configuration as other 9800GTX cards. The card is also a 2-slot card, meaning that a PCI Express and an open adjacent slot are required to install this card into a computer. The top of the card also has two SLI bridges that are required to run this card in Tri-SLI.

The IO of video cards has changed little in the last few years. XFX decided to outfit the IO of this card with two Dual-Link DVI connections and a TV-Out connection. You can of course run two Digital LCD monitors with these adapters and attach two HDMI monitors with adapters to this card to run HDMI displays. Two analog monitors can also be run on this card if you use analog adapters. The rear of the card has the mounting bracket for the graphics chip, RoHS stickers, part number stickers and Patent stickers.
