The HD 4670’s intended competition at this price point is the GeForce 9500GT. Unfortunately, I don’t have a 9500GT to test it against. Of course with the price drops of the last few months intended competition and actual price competition is not what ATI expected it to be. ATI has not released drivers for the HD 4670 and provided drivers to test the card with.

Test System

  • Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 CPU running at 3.2GHz
  • 2GB Crucial Ballistix DDR3-2000 running at 2000MHz
  • Intel DX48BT2 Motherboard
  • ATI HD 4670 video card running Catalyst 8.53 beta drivers for HD 4670
  • Rosewill 950W PSU
  • ASUS 16X DVD-ROM
  • Windows Vista 32-bit Business with SP1 installed
