ATI is pushing the fact that the HD 4670 is capable of running most high-end software at a resolution of 1680x1050 at high settings including upcoming games using DirectX 10.1 and Crysis. So to put that to the test I decided to run Crysis on the test bench with the HD 4670. Rather than talk about AA and AF performance with the HD 4670, I took it for a spin with 1680x1050 resolutions. The game played well at that resolution without AA or AF. With them turned on it was totally unplayable.

Tomb Raider Anniversary is one of those new games that are a re-imagining of a classic game. This time TRA is an excellent game with updated imagery and greatly updated graphics than the original Tomb Raider game from Eidos. Crystal Dynamics designed the game and it is simply breathtaking with visuals that will blow you away. TRA plays extremely well on the HD 4670 card with massive improvements over the original game’s graphics made possible by the X-Ray 3d engine.

Legendm, Hand of God is a new action RPG with wolves and goblins as enemies, the game is graphically demanding. HDR, Anti-aliasing, water reflections, anisotropic filtering grass are all beautifully rendered by the graphics card. The HD 4670 plays the game just fine at maximum resolution and high settings. Turning on AA and AF, I was able to play this game comfortably at 1280x1024. Legend may not look realistic but that’s because it’s a fantasy game.
