Even though this is a specialized keyboard, no special drivers will be necessary during setup at all. This is a USB 2.0 device that does plug and play very well. Just plug this
in to a free USB port on your computer of choice and its ready for a good long gaming session.
Gaming on the Warrior is rather easy, provided you bind the right keys. The Warrior has a limited key set, meaning more than half they keys from a standard keyboard will not be
present. The normal gaming-focused WASD part of the keyboard is there, but the bulk of the right half is missing.
Most gamers barely touch that side of their keyboard anyway, so it will hardly be noticed. When setting this keyboard up in some games I had to rebind a few keys. I did this in
order to deal with some keys missing in certain games. Luckily, many games have the option to set a secondary key for an action, at least many FPS games do.
Sometimes you'll get lucky and no keys will need to be rebound. Certain games, in fact, many FPS games will be this way. The manual itself specifically references Counter Strike as
a game this keyboard supports, and every key you'll need is available.
The action on the keys is very good, even if the shape takes a little getting used to. Most gamers have many years of their hand being trained for a standard sized keyboard, and
some even larger. This game will only take a few good rounds of your favorite FPS to get used to, and then you'll be playing like a pro.
The thing that some may find weird is the placement of the Tilde (~) key. They decided to put this down at the bottom of the keyboard. When your hand is resting on the keyboard,
however, it makes sense. There is no accidental hitting of the console key when gaming. I have to say there is nothing I hate more when playing a shooter than going for my knife or
some such weapon, only to be greeted with the console and a death. I'm glad that they fixed that problem on the Warrior.
