The retail box comes with everything you see in the pictures and everything you need to get up and gaming with the GM-M8000 mouse. The included 38 grams of metal weights remind me of the Logitech G series of gaming mice and can be added or removed depending on how heavy you want the mouse to be, personally I like the mouse as heavy as possible as this has the best feel to it for my tastes. The weights are removed or installed under the bottom of the mouse by way of a removable plastic hinge that opens very easily.
The 4000 DPI laser sensor is able to track the mouse very accurately and this is the one feature of the mouse that really shines and stands out as it gives the user maximum control when positioning themselves in any given game title as well as getting the perfect head-shot calibration in FPS games. Its shape is very easy on the hand and reminds me of the Logitech G series of mice, it does not sit too high or too low to the surface it is working on and that helps with it being comfortable for long periods of usage. Its contour of the mouse is very ergonomic in its design.
There are two buttons on the left side of the mouse and a single button on the right as well as the typical left right click pads on the top of the mouse. There are also two buttons by way of the scroll wheels left/right click features located in the center of the mouse making the total programmable buttons a solid seven. You can control the DPI of the mouse by a knob on the top of the M8000; you may want to mess with this aspect of the mouse as it can be very damn accurate, accurate to a fault when you barely move it and you go WTF as it goes very fast across the screen. The cord on the mouse is very long so it’s no problem getting it to reach where you need it, cordless mice do not have the capability to report accurate enough information to keep up with the 4000 DPI capabilities of a corded laser mouse. The cord is also well made and has a wrapped cable reinforcing its strength and adding to its life span.
