The Bulldozer is rather unique in looks rather like a bulldozer hence the name. The size may surprise you as the dimensions are less than 17 inches deep, 8 inches wide and 15 inches tall. The case is all black which is great for the enthusiast wanting a simple color. The GMC R-4 Bulldozer name is emblazoned on the front of the case.
The optical drive holder is rather unique. It has two springs holding the optical drive door into place. The optical drive is mounted vertically like several other R series cases. The front cover of the optical drive bay has holes on the side to allow you to see the drive. Ejecting the optical disc is a simple matter of pulling down on a lever on the right side of the drive bay.
Below the ODD holder and the springs to hold the ODD in place is where the Power and Reset buttons are located. The Power button is rather interesting in that it looks innocuous where it is located. The reset button is directly below the Power button. Directly above them is a 92mm fan that lights up when in operation. To the left of the Power button is a LED with temperature reading.
The IO on the case consists of two USB 2.0 ports and the Microphone and Headphone jacks for the Front Panel Audio and is located on the bottom of the case. As the case has limited room for expansion this is adequate. The right side of the case has a Fan Speed Up dial to speed up the fan. The left side of the case has grills which add to the rugged look of the case. A second LED with a thermometer is also here.
The Power supply is located on the top of the case rear area. The rear area also has room for a 120mm rear fan. Despite the small size of the case there are seven full sized PCI slots on the Bulldozer. Plenty of air holes for ventilation are on the rear of the case. The left side of the case is held onto the case by two thumbscrews making for easy access.
