Lian-Li is known as the Rolls Royce of PC case manufacturers as they have been making high quality cases for many years now and their product line is very extensive in this area. The case is usually either the most important or least important aspect when building a PC depending on the way the person building the system is intending its use for. A SOHO business or office PC does not require, warrant or even need anything but functionality and in that light the case you use is almost irrelevant as long as it works.

On the other hand if you are a serious gamer, enthusiast or MOD madman the case you would choose becomes whole different dimension and therefore very relevant as to what case get used. Personally the case I use is a very important aspect of any build I do for myself as it expresses my style and personality, and not just another clone PC, or basically a box of assorted parts. Lian Li has always strove to give the user as many features as possible as well as maintaining a unique design.

This is hard to do in a world of copy cat case makers who steal designs from hard working companies and bring to market cheesy, substandard cases, which look like the real thing, but lack in quality and craftsmanship under their glossy exterior. Lian Li makes their own designs and brings those ideas to the market. Today we take a look at what may be the priciest and most feature filled case we have seen yet. The new PC-P80R is made of fire-red aluminum and is geared for the total high-end gamer who is a fan of the AMD/ATI CrossFire X platform as you can see from the pictures. The case is sporting that logo on the side of the case along with a giant Spider for the AMD Spider platform. By looks alone, these cases are awesome, but never judge a book by its cover, let’s dig deeper and see what is behind that Spider.
