While the time frame is the same as the original Rainbow Six Vegas, but a different part of this encounter. You play as a character called Bishop, regardless of whether you choose a male or female character.

You start off in the past, but that part itself isn't exactly part of the story. The game quickly jumps forward to 2012, in the future but by no means a futuristic game. Expect realistic weaponry when playing.

Without going into too much detail and giving spoilers, let me explain what's going on here. Your team, which you are in charge of, is going from location to location, dealing with the terrorist situation as a whole. Along the way there will be quite a few hostages to rescue. Things really aren't too different from the first game here, but that isn't always a bad thing.
