Prepare yourself for the best multiplayer to grace the Xbox 360. That's right Halo fans; something handles even better than your precious shooter.

First of all, there's a touch of RPG in this mode of play. By killing enemies, and completing objectives, you'll gain more and more points. Points mean levels, and levels mean unlocks.

Unlocks are everything from more weapons, such as a new sniper rifle, all the way to new match types. This game has so many match types we can't even list them all here, but rest assured there's not a game out there with more to do on Xbox LIVE when it comes to FPS gaming.

Not only do you unlock new weapons and match types, but you can also unlock add-ons for your weapons, such as a new scope. This can be unlocked through achievements.

Most Xbox LIVE games will give you gamer points on your profile when you do something. That is not the case here, as achievements in multiplayer will only unlock more to use in multiplayer. You can unlock every bit of gamer points in single player if you so desire, that is not the point here.

As the match goes on you'll get kills and points towards your ranks and unlocks, but that isn't all. You'll also get perks you can sue right away, like the ability to call in an air strike, or even a helicopter to take out enemy players. All you have to do is get a certain number of kills without a death.

There's a mode for large deathmatches, allowing 18 players per server. Most modes allow between six and eight, getting as high as 12 players. But 18 players without the game stuttering even a little speak well for the network coding of this game.

If playing online isn't your thing, but you still like multiplayer, well then you're in luck. Call of Duty 4 will support 4 players on one console. You can even get as high as 24 players on a system link.

It will even allow you to invite players from your friends list into a private match. Private matches are unranked, but allow for great customization of the game itself.

I could go on for hours and hours about the multiplayer of this game, but that won't do either me or you any good. If you want to experience the greatness that is Call of Duty 4 multiplayer, then I suggest you quit wasting time and go buy this game.
