Role Playing Game, or Rpgs, is the reason for my entry into video games. The very first game I ever played was Final Fantasy on the old Nintendo. (I still have it) I was instantly hooked and now I live a life of an addict; fix to fix and day to day. So every time a new Rpg comes out I get the childlike excitement that makes me all giddy inside. Like any fantasy junkie I take my kicks by playing Rpgs and I play them hard and as often as I can.
We live in a post Oblivion world and from now on every Rpg will be measured by its standards. (At least till something comes along and redefines the genera) Every one wants to know will Two Worlds be the Oblivion killer? I personal don't think so; Bethesda has so many years of experience with Rpgs for any developer to make a game that can compete with such rabid fan base is going to be a uphill battle. What would a game have to have to dethrone Oblivion? Here are the three things Two Worlds will have to excess at to come out on top. The first will be a deep and epic story line that is both timeless and intriguing. Oblivion was steeped in lore so this will be the toughest fight. The second is a truly unique and exciting collection of missions. Most gamers are tired of the same old three types of missions: package delivery, weakling escort, or search and destroy. Life is made up of more them these three activities. The Third and finale trait would have to be unparalleled graphics. When oblivion shipped it was the first next-gen Rpg and the graphics was the finest we had see up to that point. Now we have games like Gears of War, Fight Night, and Prey so we know what the 360 is capable of. Hopefully Two Worlds can deliver on all three categorizes.
