As far as FPS titles go The Darkness it’s not a bad game, it’s just not great. I had high hopes so maybe I had farther to fall when it did not live up, but I tried to separate that and ask myself, was the game fun? There were parts that started to be fun but they were short lived and far and few between. Over all I don't think it was, and most of all the unique features in this game are not fleshed out, they feel tacked on. I think Starbreeze made a stable FPS the added all the Darkness stuff on and it dose not fit right. So taking into account the special powers you don't use that much, the game that is not that fun, and replaying the same level over and over again when you die, its just not worth the broken controls
