The Darkness is a very pretty game, even in the modern subway, it look like a level in MYST. One thing I noticed is the difference between different kind of light like, neon, fluoresced, soft moon light, or hard flood lights, the sickly yellow light that fluoresced give off makes the game look gritty and dirty. The other character in game look good, and move fast and smooth most likely motion capture, but with poor lip sync that pulls you out of the game.

I never had a frame rate drop or any kind of weird artifacts; also I saw no wall clipping. When you kill someone they move and fall convincingly, no ugly rag-doll effects. Over all the Graphics are stellar. If you play this game with the understanding that it is based on a comic book, you will be alright. The voice acting is over the top, and that is good, the characters are outrageous and just like a comic book would be, the voice of the Darkness is very creepy. The basic sound effects and music are passable and ok, but you have heard it all before.
