Is it just me or do speed bikes sound like buzzing overgrown mosquitoes on steroids?

I can not even begin to count the times that I've been driving on the highway at 75 or 80 miles per hour and had speed bikes buzzing past me at such incredible speeds that I felt like I was standing still.

Each time I got passed, it seems that all those bikes had an almost identical sound and that same sound is carried over into this video game. From a gaming perspective the sound in SBK Superbike World Championship is flawless when it comes to the bike sounds and the sounds of collision, but besides that the game is lacking. As I mentioned in the storyline section of the review, in this game there is no voice acting and even the music is somewhat limited. Speaking about the music, the only place where you will find it is going to be in the game menu modes; during the actual races you're only going to hear the sounds of the track and the bikes.

For the most part, the graphics in SBK Superbike World Championship are outstanding. In my introduction I have mentioned that I wasn't really sure if the images on the game box were in-game pictures or actual pictures of real racers. Well, as it turns out, the game's graphics are just that incredible. The bikes and the riders looks absolutely spectacular. But that's not all; the animations and the flow to the game is also phenomenal. I'm not the biggest motorcycle fan out there, but every time I play this game I end up being mesmerized by how smooth the combination between the bikes the riders and the general game flow and controls of the game really are. The bikes, the riders and the animations are superb; too bad I can't say the same about the tracks. Please don't get me wrong, the tracks look decent... you can even say they look good. But... compared to the photorealistic graphics featured for the bikes and the riders, the tracks and especially the rendering of the fans in the stands is just not up to par compared to the rest of the game. For all I know, that could actually just be a limitation on the power of the Xbox. Maybe the next generation Xbox can be powerful enough to include photorealistic fans as well. Overall, SBK Superbike World Championship is a beautiful motorcycle racing game by today's standards.
