Old enemies have returned to rain chaos over society and Spyro, being the brave little dragon that he is, is tossed into a journey filled with constant adventures.

The Dark Master has returned and if he can succeed at unleashing his hordes of evil minions, a new age of darkness will engulf the world possibly forever. Spyro needs to stop the Dark Master but unfortunately he can not do it alone. Cynder, Spyro's former nemesis is also back on the scene, only this time she does the right thing and joins Spyro in his legendary quest. But first thing is first; both Spyro and Cynder are trapped in a deep dungeon surrounded by evil monsters and before Spyro and Cynder can save the world they must first save themselves. Can they do it? Maybe, but I'm not going to spoil it for you. If you really want to find out what happens to Spyro you're going to have to play the game yourself.
