I don't usually play children's games but with my job as a reviewer sometimes I have to tackle a genre or a game that I have absolutely no interest in.

This is the case with The Legend of Spyro - Dawn of the Dragon. I'm assuming that children know who Spyro is; I don't. As a matter of fact I don't know anything about this game with the exception of what is printed on the box.

As much as I don't know who Spyro is, I do know some things about this game's publisher, Activision. Call of Duty - World at War, 007 - Quantum of Solace, Gun, F.E.A.R., Guitar Hero - World Tour and even Quake Wars - Enemy Territory have been some of the titles published by Activision.

Although the titles listed above have been games on a more mature caliber, Activision is responsible for some of the best children games released up to date. Madagascar - Escape 2 Africa, the Spider-Man series, Bee Movie and even the Shrek series have all been published by Activision. Considering all the previous experience that Activision has had with children's games I would not be surprised if The Legend of Spyro - Dawn of the Dragon will turn out to be another great game for kids, but there is no reason for me to make assumptions since I have the game right here in front of me...
