As a married video game reviewer, I have a determined interest in keeping my wife happy, so I can devote more time to video game playing. Unhappy wife will
usually mean less video game time. So when we were at GameStop about a week ago, and she spied Luxor: Pharaoh's Challenge on the shelf for the Wii, I sighed
regretfully, re-shelved the wireless Xbox 360 controller I so desperately need (ok, ok, really REALLY want), and bought the game instead. The only downside
to reviewing games is that occasionally you need to review a game that is not at all in your area of style or interest, and for me, Luxor is one of those. I
prefer shooters, war games, and the various oddball humor title instead of puzzles. But having committed myself to this venture, I bit the bullet and asked
my wife to explain a bit of it to me, as she has been playing this game on the pc since it began. She happily accessed the game Luxor: Pharoah's Challenge
was ported from, and advised me that to really be able to review the Wii version, I'd have to play the PC version first, which was simply called Luxor 2.
