Anyone who has been gaming for a while will no doubt recognize these names: Mario, Luigi, Link, Zelda, Samus, and Kirby. These
are the main characters of some of Nintendo's most successful series of games.
Back on the Nintendo 64 console, Nintendo decided to put them all into a fighting game together, Super Smash Bros. This game was
quite the hit on the N64, and still fetches a good price today, even used.
The game saw a sequel on the Gamecube, adding more characters, items, maps, and just pure craziness to the fight. This game was
very successful as well, although the value of a used copy isn't near as high as the original.
Over a year ago, Nintendo teased us with screenshots of a third Super Smash Bros game, starring many new characters. Gamers have
been waiting quite a while to try out Pit, Sonic the Hedgehog, and even Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series.
For many people, this game coming out was reason enough to buy the much sought after Nintendo Wii console. Personally I'd had
mine for a while, more focused on Zelda, Metroid, and Mario Galaxy, but still looking forward to this game all the same. Now
that I've got my hands on it, let's take a look at what's new in this version of one of the most lighthearted fighting games out
there.
