As a reviewer, I feel ashamed to say this: until thee weeks ago, I never preordered a video game.

Once again, I would like to thank my bosses, I don't know if they hate sports games, but one thing is for certain: every time a new sports title hits the shelves, I get stuck with it (and I'm very grateful for that!)

Last time I tinkered with the controllers on a NCAA football game, it was in 2002. I remember purchasing the game; I was excited. Not only was NCAA 2002 a new football game at the time, but it was the very first college game that I've played. I was young back then; I was na‹ve, but never the less, I still knew football, and I was hungry.

Not as hungry as I feel now. Now I'm old (by sporting standards), but the light in me still shines. Soon enough, with hope, I'll be visiting one of the many colleges featured in this game (if I'm not mistaken, over 100), so I'm excited. It's not only football (my favorite sport), but also a possible future for me. All I hope for is that EA Sports did this game justice; I hope it is the same great title that I remember; I hope it is football in its most raw form. Blood, guts, and glory; $40 bucks worth of entertainment. I've paid for this game before it even came out, and by all means, I'm going to dissect it to the fullest extent. EA, you may have a monopoly on the sport, but you don't have a monopoly on me! The season is almost here; please don't let me down.
