Not one, not two, but three stories exist in LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures.

LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures features the stories found in the first thee Indiana Jones movies - Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade.

Can you understand the story if you have never seen any of the Indy movies? Absolutely. Will you enjoy it? Now, that question is debatable. If you are not familiar with the series, you must be a huge fan of Lego or a child to enjoy the story; most children will love this game regardless if they saw the movies or not. However, if you have seen the movies, especially if you are familiar with them, then you will absolutely love the story. Not only does the storyline follow the three movies almost scene for scene, but the game added new twists and a level of humor unseen in the Indy movies. Let me give you an example.

The opening scene (possibly the most famous one as well) of Raiders of the Lost Ark starts with Indiana Jones amidst a thick jungle searching for a lost treasure. Once he finds it, he discovers that the cave is rigged for destruction the second anyone touches that treasure; in this case a head made of gold. To get to the point, the room gets destroyed and Indy has to run from a giant boulder that keeps on rolling towards him. To make matters worse, once he escapes the cave he ends up being surrounded by decidedly unfriendly natives, and another archeologist who want the same treasure. Unlike the movie where Indiana Jones just hands over the archeological find, LEGO Indiana Jones adds its own bit of humor. Instead of directly handing over the find, Indy plays dumb and tries to hand over several other objects such as a yellow rubber ducky and even 3PO's head (the golden-yellow droid from Star Wars). It is the little things like this that people who are not familiar with George Lucas and his creations will not understand, but for the rest of us it is the same little things that will turn this game into an immediate success.
