While Pro Evolution Soccer is not the worst game released on the PSP system but it comes close to it.

First of all, the game excluded multiplayer mode, and although there are quite a few successful games that include single player mode only, a sports game will not be successful taking that approach. Most of my friends for example will not even glance at a sports game without multiplayer.

Konami, further shot itself in the foot by jumping the gun and releasing Pro Evolution Soccer without proofreading the final product (the game has sections that do not function properly or at all, such as the unplayable penalty mode or the completely vestigial snow/dry environments.

Honestly, the only way you're going to like this game is if you're a total hard core soccer fan. If that is you, you'll end up owning any soccer game regardless, including this one. Also, if you do not have access to the Internet and you suffer from excessive boredom, then this will make an excellent purchase. But... if you're just bored and want a new game, you may want to say away from this title because Pro Evolution Soccer is designed for the hard- core soccer fan only.
