I grew up in a country where the main religion was not Christianity or Islam or Buddhism or even Hinduism. The main religion was soccer.

Babies, children, teens, adults and even the elderly are actively involved in some sort of activity revolving around soccer. In the last decade, the influence of soccer has spread to all corners of the world, including the United States.

Since the popularity of the sport has increased so much lately, the opportunity for profit has become obvious to video game manufacturers, and soccer games have started appearing on video game stores shelves. The only problem was that they were not very good. The last time I purchased a soccer video game was in 2005.

Now, three years later I found myself with the burning desire to play a little bit of soccer, so I ventured out of my house and ended up with Konami's latest release: Pro Evolution Soccer 2008. The question on my mind is whether I ended up with a great game or another dud. However, me questioning my purchase will not inform anyone of the quality of this game, so for the time being I'm going to put the review down and pick up the game. See y'all in a couple of days.
